The Tömörtiin Ovoo Zinc Mine is situated at the foot of Altan Ovoo Mountain, 16 kilometers north of Baruun-Urt in Mongolia's Sükhbaatar Province. The mine contains over 360,000 tonnes of zinc metal resources. It was completed and put into production in August 2005, with a designed annual ore processing capacity of 300,000 tonnes and an annual output of 66,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate. It is widely regarded as a model of China-Mongolia mining cooperation.
