Beijing, China - August 19, 2025. Mr. Liu Yu, Vice President of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. and Chairman of NFC, met in Beijing with Mr. Vitor Saback, CEO of Brazil’s Paranapanema S.A. (PMA).

The two sides expressed strong willingness to deepen strategic cooperation and held practical discussions on specific collaboration areas. Liu Yu introduced NFC’s overall profile, core business areas, and key copper projects under development, inviting Mr. Saback to visit the new Hongsheng Copper Smelter for on-site inspection.

Mr. Saback expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and spoke highly of NFC’s professional capabilities, operational excellence, and technological expertise. He also commended CNMC’s achievements in green and intelligent smelting, expressing hope to advance cooperation with NFC and to introduce more South American enterprises to collaborate with NFC.

PMA is one of Brazil’s largest copper producers and operates the country’s only copper smelter.
