On 28 October, Liu Yu, Vice President of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), and Chairman of China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. (NFC), met with H.E. Wang Lutong, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, in Jakarta.
Liu Yu expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support extended by the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia to CNMC, and briefed Ambassador Wang Lutong on relevant business developments of CNMC. CNMC and its subsidiaries, including NFC, have deeply engaged in Indonesia, jointly advancing the Belt and Road Initiative with high quality, and have achieved a series of positive results in resource development and engineering contracting. Looking ahead, CNMC will continue to deepen its presence in the Indonesian market, operate with high quality in compliance with local laws and regulations, and work to enhance the quality and upgrade bilateral cooperation, creating a new phase of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
Ambassador Wang Lutong fully affirmed CNMC's long-term commitment to Indonesia and its deep involvement in the development of the local non-ferrous metals industry. He emphasised that China-Indonesia relations, under the guidance of the heads of state of both nations, are currently at their best in history, presenting significant opportunities for deepening cooperation across multiple domains. In this regard, he expressed his hope that CNMC would capitalize Indonesia's vast market potential to actively expand its business operations while resolutely adhering to lawful and compliant practices. This would propel practical cooperation between China and Indonesia to new heights, jointly writing a new chapter in the development of bilateral relations.
During his stay in Indonesia, Liu Yu also conducted in in-depth and productive discussions and exchanges with relevant partners. The meetings were attended by Zhang Ming, Vice President of NFC, along with personnel from PT PIL and the Marketing Centre.
